About John
Dr. John M. Arroyo Jr., a retired U.S. Army veteran from California, is a devoted husband to Angel and a father of three. He began his military service in 1998, dedicating 20 years to the U.S. Army, primarily as a Green Beret in the 3rd Special Forces Group at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, with deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. In 2013, he became a U.S. Army Medical Service Corps Officer.
In 2014, John survived a life-threatening gunshot wound to the neck during the Fort Hood mass shooting, which left him with paralysis in his right arm. Despite grim medical predictions, he recovered miraculously, crediting his survival to faith and a renewed sense of purpose. Following this pivotal moment, John committed his life to inspiring others.
John is now a highly sought-after motivational speaker, known for his passionate energy and authentic storytelling. Speaking in churches, military bases, schools, and businesses, he shares a powerful message of resilience, hope, and overcoming adversity. His experiences with addiction, setbacks, and personal growth offer audiences relatable insights and practical solutions to life’s challenges.
